Weapons: designing the tools of war by Jason Richie provides a great amount of information about the making and designing of the worlds most deadly weapons. The book goes through the lives and process that lead to the production of these lethal weapons. The author Jason has written many other based on the history of weapons and war. The book uses a dry and academic tone to help present the point of the book, to learn about the weapons of the world.
I enjoyed the book entirely, it did a great job Weapons: designing the tools of war by Jason Richie provides a great amount of information about the making and designing of the worlds most deadly weapons. I enjoyed the book entirely, it did a great job of giving the right amount of background information behind each story of weapon development. It has seven different stories about seven different types of weaponry. Each starts with an anecdote about the before telling the invention process which I think is a great format to have for this book. The book was easily relatable and simple to relate to. If I were to change one thing about the book it would be that I would want the "prologue" about modern weapons to be longer.
The book also contains a good amount of pictures and diagrams. These pictures help you imagine what the page is talking about and help increase your overall understanding of the info. I would recommend this book to anyone that has an interest in the topic of weaponry because it will expand your knowledge and keep you interested throughout the reading.
